Early-stage investment for post-carbon ventures

Asterion VenturesEvropa

Venture-capital investment for companies building deep-tech or digital solutions for Europe’s energy, industrial and food transitions, from pre-seed through Series A.

Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.

Asterion invests in technologies for energy generation, storage and grids; industrial decarbonisation, efficiency and new materials; lower-carbon agriculture and food systems; and AI that helps industrial companies and institutions adopt transition technologies.

Asterion describes itself as a venture-capital lead investor, with its fund and community of private investors putting capital into selected companies. Venture capital is a type of equity finance: your company raises money by selling shares to investors. Asterion’s investor community can also support founders with commercial introductions, recruitment and board-level work.

Eligibility

Your company needs to be at a stage from pre-seed through Series A and developing a deep-tech or digital venture. Asterion looks for:

  • a solution designed around the infrastructure, manufacturing capacity and resources that are actually available, rather than relying only on policy targets or market forecasts;
  • a business that strengthens European capacity in energy, raw materials, components or critical digital infrastructure;
  • scientific, engineering or manufacturing know-how that remains based in Europe;
  • founders who know their field, present a credible plan grounded in practical constraints and are prepared to build the company over the long term;
  • customer demand that does not depend on people paying extra solely for the solution’s climate benefits.

The venture must align with the rule of law, democratic governance and open European societies. Asterion does not fund weapons, but cybersecurity and technologies that protect people and critical infrastructure can qualify.
