Grants for individual homeowners installing a heat pump in a new, energy-efficient single-family home in Poland.

Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.

Moje Ciepło reimburses part of the purchase and installation of a new heat pump for space heating, with or without domestic hot water. It covers ground/water and water/water systems, air/water systems, and central air/air systems serving the whole house. A pump used only to heat domestic hot water does not qualify.

The grant covers up to 30% of eligible costs, or up to 45% if you hold a Karta Dużej Rodziny (Large Family Card). The cap is PLN 21,000 for ground-source systems and PLN 7,000 for either air-source type. Both the percentage and the technology-specific cap apply.

Eligible expenditure includes the pump, installation and associated equipment, including applicable buffer and hot-water tanks. Necessary energy-performance and ground-source geological documentation may account for at most 5% of eligible costs. VAT qualifies only if you actually bear it and cannot legally deduct any of it.

Eligibility

  • You must be an individual who owns or co-owns a qualifying new single-family home. At application, no construction-completion notification or occupancy-permit application has been submitted, or the relevant notification/application was submitted on or after 1 January 2021. You must be named in the building permit/construction notification or have acquired the home, for example by purchase, gift or inheritance.
  • The home must be a structurally independent detached, semi-detached, terraced or grouped building, with at most two residential units, or one residential unit and commercial premises covering no more than 20% of total floor area. Seasonal homes and outbuildings do not qualify. Business use must not exceed 20% of total floor area; exceeding this during the five-year retention period requires repayment.
  • The building's annual non-renewable primary-energy demand for heating, ventilation and hot water (EPH+W) must be no more than 55 kWh per square metre per year. Show this in the building-design energy assessment or energy-performance certificate, calculated with the heat pump and all heating devices. A certificate is required where the installed technical arrangements differ from the design. It must be prepared using the electronic system containing the central register of building energy-performance certificates.
  • Ground-source and air/water pumps must have at least class A++ for space heating at a 55°C supply temperature, evidenced by the product sheet and energy label. They must operate with water-based heating supplied at no more than 35°C, such as underfloor heating. The FAQ permits its example of two 45°C radiators where low-temperature heating remains dominant. Central air/air systems need at least A+ for a temperate climate and must be the sole heating source, distributing heat throughout the house through one outdoor unit with several indoor units or a ducted system.
  • Equipment must be new and manufactured no more than 24 months before installation. Start and finish the investment within 1 January 2021–26 February 2027: the start is payment of the first eligible invoice; completion means installation, commissioning and documented payment of all invoices. Finish before the day you apply: the grant is reimbursement.
  • The home must have no solid-fuel heat source throughout the retention period. The FAQ allows a decorative fireplace only if its flue is blocked, water jacket (the component that heats water for the heating system) disconnected and it cannot be lit. A recreational fireplace may be used only occasionally, must have no water jacket (a component that heats water for the heating system) or heat distribution to other rooms, and must not serve as the home's heating source.
  • Only one grant is available per structurally independent building, even if it contains two residential units. Two structurally independent halves of a semi-detached house may each qualify. All other co-owners must consent.
  • The investment cannot be financed or implemented with other domestic or foreign public funds, including Clean Air support for the same installation. The thermal-modernisation tax deduction is an exception only where separately applicable, and its deductible expenditure must be reduced by the grant received.
  • Keep operating the heat pump at the stated location for at least five years from receipt of the grant in your bank account, and fulfil the programme's publicity obligations during that period.

  • Intake closes earlier if funds are exhausted.

After buying, installing, commissioning and fully paying for the system, create an account in NFOŚiGW's Generator Wniosków o Dofinansowanie (GWD), select Moje Ciepło and submit the electronic application with an electronic signature. You may apply personally or through a representative using the programme's power-of-attorney form.

Attach the building permit/construction notification or an anonymised acquisition deed, completion/occupancy documents where applicable, energy assessment or certificate, the programme acceptance protocol, invoices and payment evidence, and the pump's product sheet and energy label. If an invoice omits the pump's type or parameters, add the contractor's declaration. Include co-owner consents, the applicant's Large Family Card, representative authority and necessary geological documents where applicable.

The applicant must normally be the buyer/recipient on the invoice. Where this differs, a declaration is permitted for spouses or people sharing a household. Use the current forms linked from the official programme page.
