Freshwater and climate-resilient farming grant
Grants for agricultural SMEs on Schouwen-Duiveland to prepare freshwater and climate adaptation projects or buy approved innovative equipment.
Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.
This entry covers projects for which both the requested grant and the grant calculated after applying the 50% rate and category cap are at least €5,000. The municipality helps you prepare improvements to freshwater availability or climate resilience that are new to your farm. You can buy advice and knowledge from research institutions, advisory firms or SMEs, prepare a farm soil-and-water plan, or carry out feasibility studies and tests. Subsequent implementation work is outside the preparation route.
The grant covers 50% of eligible costs: up to €10,000 for advice and planning (1A), or €25,000 for feasibility research and testing (1B). You pay the costs not covered by the grant, including any costs above the category cap; recoverable or refunded VAT is excluded. For approved machinery and equipment (1C), the award is a one-off €5,000 for an investment of at least €10,000. It must improve your existing operation rather than simply replace existing equipment, and the equipment must be on the scheme’s purchase list. Used equipment is allowed when bought from an official supplier with a quotation. The municipality can adjust the list after consultation; an unlisted purchase is not automatically eligible.
Awards up to €10,000 are paid when granted. Larger awards normally receive 75% upfront, although the municipality may give reasons for varying this. Submit invoices and payment proof; for awards above €10,000 also submit a short report showing the agreed results. After correct submission and final assessment, the remaining amount of up to 25% is paid, within six weeks after the final assessment decision is sent. You must share knowledge gained through the project.
