Energy-efficiency rebates

Cotton Electric CooperativeOklahomaaž 4 tis. USD

Rebates for Cotton Electric members replacing an existing home heat pump with a qualifying efficient air-source heat pump or mini-split.

Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.

You can receive $500, $600 or $750 for each qualifying replacement air-source heat pump or mini-split, depending on its efficiency ratings. These are payments per unit, not per ton of heating or cooling capacity. The total programme rebate is limited to $4,000 per residence in 2026.

Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The programme ends for the year when its funds run out.

Eligibility

Your installation must be at a residence served by Cotton Electric, whose service territory covers eight counties in southwest Oklahoma. You must be a cooperative member replacing an existing heat pump; this entry covers that replacement route.

The replacement unit must meet both published seasonal cooling-efficiency ratings, SEER and SEER2. The contractor or supplier must provide the AHRI certification documenting the equipment, together with a Manual J calculation for the home. Use those documents to check the unit against these tiers:

  • SEER 17.00–17.99 and SEER2 16.2–17.1: $500 per replacement unit.
  • SEER 18.00–19.99 and SEER2 17.2–19.0: $600 per replacement unit.
  • SEER at least 20.00 and SEER2 at least 19.1: $750 per replacement unit.

A licensed contractor must install the heat pump or mini-split, replacing the indoor and outdoor equipment at the same time. The application sets a five-ton equipment capacity maximum. Cotton Electric must verify the installation and carry out an Energy Efficiency Home Evaluation before you receive the rebate.

By signing the application, you assign the installation's environmental and renewable benefits to Western Farmers Electric Cooperative, to the extent permitted by law. This includes greenhouse-gas credits or offsets and rights to claim green or renewable energy. You also allow Cotton Electric to verify the installation; the cooperative reserves the right to use the information in its energy-conservation and carbon-reduction programmes.
