Go Greener SME Reward

HSBC UKSpojené království

UK trading businesses can receive 1% cashback on eligible HSBC borrowing used mainly for investments such as solar panels, electric vehicles or LED lighting.

Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.

The reward is cashback attached to approved financing. Examples include buying and installing solar panels on commercial property or land, buying battery electric vehicles, and replacing commercial or yard lighting with LEDs.

For eligible business loans, the cashback is 1% of the total approved facility limit at the first drawdown, when you first receive loan money. For equipment finance, it is 1% of the amount borrowed under the contract. It is paid on or around drawdown after HSBC confirms approval in writing. You must still repay the loan or make the payments required by your equipment-finance agreement. The cashback does not replace those obligations.

If you use less than 90% of the borrowing for the evidenced eligible purpose, cannot prove its proper use, supply inaccurate evidence or breach the reward terms, HSBC can require the cashback back within two weeks of its request. This also constitutes a default: HSBC may demand repayment of the associated borrowing and stop further drawdowns. Tax may reduce the value of the cashback.

Eligibility

  • You must be a trading business in the UK with annual turnover below £25 million. If you belong to a wider group, that limit applies to the group.
  • Your business must be incorporated in the UK. An unincorporated business must be constituted in the UK, and you and every partner must have a permanent UK residential address and a right to work in the UK.
  • The eligible facility limit or equipment-finance contract must be £25,001–£300,000. At least 90% of the borrowing must go to activities accepted under the reward eligibility guide, with evidence HSBC approves.
  • You must obtain an eligible HSBC product and draw down the approved financing. Eligible loan products include Flexible Business Loan, Commercial Business Loan, Commercial Mortgage, Property Development Loan and Growth Guarantee Scheme Loan. Equipment-finance terms list Hire Purchase, Finance Lease and Asset Loan. HSBC must be the only lender under that product, with no continuing default or breach under its agreement. Approval of one reward does not cover your other borrowing.
  • Lending is subject to credit status. HSBC may request additional or different evidence and may decline cashback after assessing its policies, applicable law, the business and transaction, and reputational effects.
  • Equipment-finance cashback is paid into the UK sterling current account solely in your name from which the financing Direct Debits are collected. Loan cashback is paid to the drawdown account if it meets the UK sterling sole-name condition; otherwise HSBC issues a cheque.

How to apply

Podmínky daného kola žádostí
  • New customers can call HSBC. Eligible financing and cashback approval are required. Submit loan evidence before the first facility-letter draft. For equipment finance, your own invoice must be submitted before the contract; HSBC can instead use an invoice from the supplier it deals with directly.

Speak to your HSBC Relationship Manager, or call HSBC on 03457 606060 if you are a new customer. Discuss the reward alongside your application for eligible financing.

For a loan, submit evidence of the intended eligible use and a certification letter before HSBC issues the facility letter, including its first draft. The letter certifies that your evidence is genuine and that you accept the reward terms and eligible-use commitment. HSBC may also later require evidence of actual use.

For equipment finance, submit the evidence and certification letter. If HSBC deals directly with your chosen asset supplier, its asset supply invoice satisfies this requirement. If you provide the invoice yourself, submit it before HSBC issues the contract. HSBC confirms cashback approval with the financing agreement before paying the reward.
