Søgne og Greipstad Sparebank offers a mortgage for an energy-efficient home that you live in. It lends up to 90% of the home’s value, without additional collateral. You borrow money that you must repay, with interest and fees.
The green mortgage reduces the applicable published interest rate by 0.15 percentage points. Your offered rate depends on your ability to repay, security, risk and existing relationship with the bank.
Mortgage establishment fees start at NOK 2,500, and the depot fee for handling the loan’s security starts at NOK 1,000. The bank’s effective-rate illustration uses a NOK 2 million mortgage over 25 years, with a NOK 65 instalment fee. The effective rate includes these charges alongside interest; the example does not set your loan amount or repayment period.
The product also gives a 10% discount on Frende home insurance.
Eligibility
- The mortgage is for the home you live in, and the home must have energy class A or B. Energy classes run from A to G, with A the best, based on calculated energy delivered per square metre of living area. Check the rating in the property advert or sales prospectus, or by registering the home through energimerking.no.
- You can borrow up to 90% of the home’s value without additional collateral. The bank’s general mortgage guidance gives five times income before tax as a rule of thumb; your offered terms depend on its assessment.
The bank focuses on customers in Søgne and Songdalen and naturally adjoining municipalities.

Use Søgne og Greipstad Sparebank’s loan enquiry form and ask about a green mortgage. Provide your name, mobile number, email address and enquiry, and acknowledge the bank’s privacy rules; an adviser will contact you.
The bank also invites new customers to use its electronic mortgage application. Its mortgage process retrieves last year’s tax return and your latest monthly payslip electronically.
