The bill credit covers an initial geothermal heating and cooling installation for a home or business. WIEC describes geothermal as an energy-efficient way to heat and cool these buildings. The $1,000 support is credited to your electricity bill at installation.
Eligibility
- You must be a WIEC member.
- Install an initial geothermal system on WIEC lines. The unit must be at least 5 kW.

Contact the Western Illinois Electrical Cooperative office at 217-357-3125 or info@wiec.net to arrange the installation bill credit. WIEC states that members receive the credit at installation.
