Energy efficiency rebates

You must be a South Central Electric Association member with a valid cooperative account. The heat pump must be installed at an address where the cooperative supplies electricity in its southern Minnesota service territory, which includes members in Watonwan, Cottonwood, Martin, Jackson, Brown and Blue Earth counties.

The ductless or mini-split heat pump must be an Energy Star appliance, and you must certify that the installed equipment qualifies. Purchases must be on or after January 1, 2026.

Call South Central Electric Association on 507-375-3164 to verify rebate programme status. Funds are limited: the programme ends when funding is exhausted, and completed applications are processed in the order received by the cooperative’s office.

Submit the completed online application or send the signed paper form to South Central Electric Association, P. O. Box 150, St. James, MN 56081. Include your account number, sales invoice or receipt and the AHRI product rating sheet documenting the equipment’s rated performance. Submit the claim within 90 days of purchase.

Complete the equipment details, including manufacturer, model, efficiency ratings, household heat source, the outdoor temperature set for switching to another heat source and contractor name. Sign the certification confirming installation at the valid cooperative account address.
