High-efficiency electric heat pump rebate
A $400 rebate per qualifying electric heat pump for residents and developers or builders installing systems in homes served by Concord’s electric grid.
Tato příležitost je nyní dostupná v angličtině.
The City of Concord offers the rebate for new installations and replacement heating and cooling systems in new or existing residences. The programme encourages more efficient equipment to reduce peak electricity demand.
Residents and developers or builders have separately administered annual funding allowances. Payment depends on the city checking the application and installation for completeness and compliance. The city does not provide an installation or performance warranty; future repairs and maintenance remain your responsibility.
Eligibility
- The home must be within the City of Concord electric grid.
- Resident applicants must be electric customers with active accounts. New customers must first apply for service and receive a utility account number. Developers and builders also need an active city utility account.
- All your electric accounts must be current, with no outstanding overdue charges or recurring delinquency history over the previous six months.
- Install a properly matched complete system with an official Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) rating. Its certified Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating must be at least 16.0 SEER or 15.2 SEER2: the certificate confirms the efficiency rating of the matched system you install.
- The heat pump must be between 12,000 and 60,000 BTU (1–5 tons). Mini-split, ductless and dual-fuel systems, including hybrids supplied with natural gas or propane, do not qualify.
