It has capacity to invest up to €50 million over the life of an investment, supporting growth and acquisitions of additional businesses.

Its four investment areas are:
- Resource-efficient proteins and fats that can be produced at commercially viable scale.
- Farming practices and technology that rebuild soil, capture carbon and sustain yields.
- Shorter, circular supply chains that reduce losses of nutrients and materials.
- Nutritious diets that help prevent disease.
Companies receiving investment from Re:food II provide annual data on negative effects relating to the environment, human rights, social and employee matters, and anti-corruption.
