Greener Futures Loan
A personal loan for adults eligible for SWSbank membership to buy solar equipment or make other energy-saving home improvements.

You can borrow for solar power products, external awnings or shutters, grey water systems and double glazing to an existing property.
Borrow AUD 2,000–20,000 for up to five years. You repay the money with interest through weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments. The published interest rate is 8.35% a year and is variable, so it can change. Interest is calculated daily and charged at the end of each month.
The bank lists no application, establishment, monthly, redraw or additional repayment fees. You can make extra repayments without penalty.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and eligible to become a member of SWSbank. You must become a member to borrow. For ordinary new membership, you apply for a member share costing AUD 10, which gives you a vote in the member-owned bank. The bank decides whether to admit you as a member and may refuse without giving a reason.
Credit eligibility criteria and the bank’s terms and conditions apply. Home loans and vehicle loans are excluded, except electric cars.
