Efficient household appliance grant
Customers on EWR*STROM Natur Plus can receive €30 or €60 per new eligible energy-efficient appliance.

Buy a new fridge-freezer combination, upright or chest freezer, washing machine, dishwasher or heat-pump tumble dryer. Appliances in energy classes A or B receive €60 each; class C receives €30, using the energy labelling introduced from 1 March 2021.
This is a one-off investment grant paid by EWR after you provide all required evidence and meet the conditions. Funding is voluntary, depends on the remaining budget and is not a legal entitlement.
Eligibility
- Individuals and legal entities can apply as EWR energy customers on the EWR*STROM Natur Plus tariff.
- Remain an EWR*STROM Natur Plus customer for two years from grant payment. If you end the energy supply contract early, you must repay the grant.
- Buy a new eligible appliance no more than one year before applying. The invoice must show its intended household or business use and destination, and establish that the purchaser and EWR customer are the same person or entity.
- A household can make at most two applications within two years across this appliance grant and EWR’s Pedelec programme combined.
- You may combine this grant with other public funding only if the EWR grant does not reduce that other funding. If it would, EWR gives priority to the other public support and rejects the EWR application.

- Applications accepted for the current 2026 programme until year end, or earlier budget exhaustion.
- The purchase must be no more than one year old.
Download the household-appliance application form, complete and sign it, and send it with the required evidence to EWR at onlineservice@ewr-gmbh.de. Provide specialist-retailer proof of purchase; the programme page requires the original purchase invoice showing manufacturer, appliance model, your name and address.
EWR processes complete applications in receipt order, checks the documents and pays once all conditions are met. An incomplete application automatically expires one month after receipt. The 2026 programme ends by 31 December 2026 and can end earlier if funds run out.
