Home energy-advice grant
Up to €250 towards certified tailored energy advice for owner-occupiers who live in their Waadhoeke home for at least nine months a year.
Denne finansieringsmulighed er i øjeblikket beskrevet på engelsk.
Tailored energy advice provides a report on measures that save energy in your home, their costs and how long energy-bill savings take to recover the investment. The grant pays actual eligible advice costs up to €250 including VAT.
Eligible costs must be necessary and directly attributable to the advice. Application preparation, technical building advice, costs subsidised elsewhere and taxes or charges you can recover or offset are excluded. You pay any advice cost above the grant.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual who owns and occupies a house or apartment in Waadhoeke, with demonstrable presence for at least nine months each year.
- Choose an adviser certified under BRL-9500-MWA-W and attached to a company holding that certificate; the tailored advice itself must meet BRL 9500. This is the required certification for the adviser and company preparing your home energy-saving report.
- Only one of the scheme’s advice awards is available per dwelling. The municipality must not already have awarded this subsidy for your home when it receives your application, and the advice must not already have been carried out.
- The advice must serve the scheme’s home-sustainability purpose and be financially and practically feasible. The municipality may refuse an award if the activity insufficiently benefits Waadhoeke or its residents, the need for subsidy is not demonstrated, or the award would breach the law.

- Open for pre-advice applications until the programme budget is exhausted.[^c8][^c11]
Get a quotation from a certified adviser, then complete the application form and its requested attachments before the investigation is carried out or the advice report prepared. Use the application button on the municipal page, or request a paper form from Gemeente Waadhoeke at duurzaamheid@waadhoeke.nl.
Applications are accepted until 31 December 2026 or until the €60,000 programme budget runs out. Complete applications are considered in arrival order; applications received on the same day are ranked by lottery if they would exceed the budget. The municipality publishes an exhaustion notice on its page.
Approval also establishes the final grant amount, and payment is made within three weeks of approval. Follow the municipal instruction to have the advice carried out after receiving the subsidy. Finish within three months of the award and no later than 31 March 2027.
Keep the final invoice for at least six months and cooperate with spot checks, including possible visits, for up to six months after final establishment. Immediately notify the municipality in writing if the advice or grant conditions cannot be fulfilled fully or on time, or if relevant financial or organisational arrangements with third parties change.
