Energy-efficiency rebates

McLeod Cooperative PowerMinnesotaop til 2,5 t USDlukker 11. dec. 2026

Rebates for cooperative members installing a qualifying ground-source heat pump or arranging a central-air or air-source heat-pump tune-up.

Denne finansieringsmulighed er i øjeblikket beskrevet på engelsk.

A ground-source heat pump qualifies for $400 per ton of equipment capacity, up to $2,500. A central-air tune-up earns $25 and an air-source heat-pump tune-up earns $50, with one rebate for each type of tune-up per member per year.

Rebates of $300 or less reduce your electricity bill; larger rebates are paid by check. McLeod Cooperative Power may instead credit the bill when your account is past due. Allow 6–8 weeks for processing. The annual limit across the cooperative’s rebates is $5,000 per member.

Eligibility

  • You must have a valid cooperative account. The form lists homeowners, renters, landlords and builders as member types.
  • Equipment must be installed within the cooperative’s service territory, serving parts of McLeod, Renville, Sibley and Carver Counties in Minnesota.
  • Claimed equipment must have ENERGY STAR energy-efficiency certification at the purchase date. Products already removed from the qualifying list or incorrectly labelled do not qualify.
  • For a tune-up, your contractor must sign the form and certify the listed work: clean the condenser coil, check the belt if needed, check coolant level and pressure, lubricate the motor if needed, inspect the system, test controls, clear drain lines, check the indoor furnace filter and explain system operation to the homeowner.
  • Purchases and installations must fall between January 1 and December 11, 2026. Rebates are first come, first served while funds remain, and the programme can change or be cancelled without notice.
