Residential insulation rebate
Upgrade insulation in an existing home served by City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri, with a rebate of 20% of qualifying costs, up to $500 per programme year.

City Utilities helps its residential electric or natural gas customers add insulation to keep heated or cooled air inside their homes.
The rebate covers 20% of insulation upgrade costs, up to $500 during each October–September programme year, and cannot exceed the purchase price. If you install it yourself, only insulation material costs qualify. Multifamily or rental property owners may receive up to six rebates per programme year.
Rebates are awarded in order of application until funds run out. City Utilities can change or discontinue the programme without notice.
Eligibility
You must be the customer of record on an active City Utilities residential electric and/or natural gas account with no overdue balance. The work must be in an existing residential dwelling served by CU in its southwest Missouri service area.
New construction, insulation over garages or unconditioned spaces do not qualify.
The finished insulation must meet these minimum R-values (the insulation rating used to calculate how much to add to your existing insulation): attic R-38; exterior walls, crawl-space perimeter and basement exterior walls R-13; floors R-19. You do not have to upgrade every area.
City Utilities may inspect the installation. If the qualifying product is absent, it may charge the rebate back to your electric or natural gas account.

Install the qualifying insulation yourself or through a contractor. Complete the application form, including the description of the insulation installed. Submit it with copies of contractor invoices and/or itemized purchase receipts within 90 days of purchase; the invoice must show the total R-value.
Mail the form and supporting documents to City Utilities Rebates, PO Box 510861, New Berlin, WI 53151. Allow 6–8 weeks to receive an approved rebate. You can choose a check, or digital payment if the rebate is under $100.
