Audit-recommended energy efficiency rebate
A rebate of up to $500 for cooperative members carrying out home energy improvements recommended by a comprehensive audit.
Denne finansieringsmulighed er i øjeblikket beskrevet på engelsk.
The rebate covers the cost of qualifying energy efficiency improvements, including materials and professional labour, up to $500. It is paid as a credit on your electricity bill; for an incentive above $200, Barron Electric Cooperative may issue a cheque. The cooperative can deny or limit an incentive.
The audit report must show that the improvements reduce electricity or delivered fossil fuel use, such as propane or oil, or improve energy efficiency. An audit-recommended ENERGY STAR refrigerator falls under the separate appliance rebate and does not count towards this audit improvement incentive.
Eligibility
- You must have a Barron Electric Cooperative member account, and the building being improved must be on the cooperative’s lines.
- The improvements must be recommended in a comprehensive Home Performance Assessment: an energy audit with a written report identifying the energy savings or efficiency benefit.
- Complete the improvements within 24 months of the audit date.
- Each member account can receive only one audit improvement incentive every five years, regardless of the number of audits or measures.
