Community Resilience Centers Implementation Grants
Grants of USD 1–10 million to build or upgrade California community facilities that provide shelter, services and resources during climate emergencies.

Build a new community resilience centre or upgrade an existing facility. Funding can also cover campus amenities and year-round services and programmes that strengthen community resilience. Centres are intended to provide shelter and resources during events such as extreme heat, wildfire, drought, flooding and power outages.
Implementation grants run for six years. The programme prioritises projects benefiting under-resourced, rural, unincorporated and Tribal communities, but communities outside those priority groups may also apply.
Eligibility
A lead applicant can be a California public or local agency, nonprofit, special district, joint powers authority, Tribe, public utility, local publicly owned utility or mutual water company.
An Implementation Grant application must include at least two partners in addition to the lead. The lead or at least one partner must be a community-based organisation that receives grant funding. Limited modifications apply to qualifying Tribal applicants.
Your proposal must identify an eligible California project area and a physical facility. The implementation route is for construction, facility upgrades, campus amenities and associated resilience services; use of the grant cannot consist only of outdoor-space improvements.
