Link III energy-transition investment

This is venture-capital investment, not a grant or loan. Link puts money into your company in return for an agreed ownership share and may also take a board seat. You do not repay the investment like a loan; instead, the existing owners give up part of the company.
Link Capital publishes three investment levels. For €50,000–€100,000, you need a separate lead investor alongside Link. A lead investor is normally the round's largest investor: it manages the deal documents and closing and sets the share price used to value the company. For €100,000–€1 million, Link may take that role. For €1–5 million, Link is likely to lead or share the role with another investor. Portfolio companies may also receive help finding senior staff, board members and later investors.
Eligibility
This may fit if:
- your company is based in Europe; Link Capital focuses particularly on the Nordic countries;
- you are raising money from pre-seed through Series A. In common equity-funding usage, this runs from the earliest stage—often before a company has developed a product to test its business idea—to a stage where it has developed that product, gained market traction and has a viable plan for long-term profit. Link says it wants to be one of a company's first investors;
- your technology is in electric vehicles, clean energy, energy storage, mobility or software related to the energy transition.
For the €50,000–€100,000 level, another investor must lead the round. At the higher levels, Link may lead or co-lead.

Use Link Capital's pitch page to send a short introduction explaining who you are, what your company is building and why it fits. Then submit a pitch deck. Link recommends a short deck with an executive summary on the first page and asks you to include a slide stating how much capital you want to raise.
The form submits your pitch to Link Capital rather than naming a particular fund. Link Capital says it responds to pitches within three working days.
