The Programa Ganadería Sostenible finances investment plans involving technologies that lower greenhouse gas emissions and help dairy production adapt to climate change. The programme calls these NAMA technologies.
Banco Popular lends you money for the investment, which you must repay. The repayment term can be up to 15 years. You sign a promissory note—a written promise to repay—but do not need a guarantor, a mortgage on property or a pledge of movable assets.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual or legal entity engaged in dairy cattle production.
- You must have at least three years of experience in livestock activity.
- You must belong to a dairy producer organization.
- The application form accepts national, resident and corporate identification and asks for your residence in Costa Rica.
