Fonds d’encouragement communal — photovoltaic feasibility studies
Residents, businesses and organisations in Morges can receive 20% of the fees for a photovoltaic feasibility study on an existing large roof or a collective roof project, up to CHF 1,000.
Diese Finanzierungsmöglichkeit ist derzeit auf Englisch beschrieben.
This base grant under the Fonds d’encouragement communal pour l’énergie et le développement durable helps assess a solar electricity installation on existing buildings. It can be combined with the municipal photovoltaic installation grant.
Payment follows completion and the city’s check that the project matches the submitted proposal. Other grants must be declared; if combined grants exceed actual project costs, the municipal contribution is reduced. Funding depends on the annual budget and is not a legal entitlement. Complete applications are considered in order of receipt; if the annual budget is exceeded, projects go onto a waiting list for priority treatment the following year.
Eligibility
- You must be a resident of Morges, or a business or organisation established there, undertaking a project within the municipality.
- The study must concern an existing building with at least 300 m² of roof, or a group of roofs in a collective project. Projects involving a legal obligation to install photovoltaic panels are excluded.
- Explain the expected results, contribute your own money and/or time, and allow the results to be checked.
- Acknowledge the municipal fund’s support in oral and written communications about the project.
The city cancels or reduces the grant, or requires full or partial repayment, for an undue award, failure to carry out the funded task correctly, or failure to meet grant conditions. Grants obtained through deliberate deception or diverted from their purpose must be repaid. The city can assert its recovery right up to ten years after the grant award.

- Apply before the study starts; annual budget limits apply.
Apply before the study starts. Download the photovoltaic feasibility-study form from the city’s subsidy page, complete it and attach the requested documents. Declare any application to another funding body.
Email the dossier to durabilite@morges.ch or send it by registered post to Office de la durabilité, Place St-Louis 2, 1110 Morges. The office gives a written decision. A building-permit application does not count as a subsidy application.
Where a municipal award decision is required, the grant is valid for two years from the positive decision and the project must be completed within that period; a new application is needed after expiry.
