Local home insulation grant

Gemeente NijkerkNiederlandebis zu 1800 EUR

Up to €1,800 for qualifying owner-occupiers in Nijkerk to insulate floors or the inside of a roof through an approved contractor.

Diese Finanzierungsmöglichkeit ist derzeit auf Englisch beschrieben.

The standard €1,800 contractor route pays for floor or ground insulation, internal roof insulation, or insulation of an unheated attic floor. The grant covers 100% of the eligible invoice up to €1,800 including VAT per home. Eligible costs include insulation materials, delivery, installation materials, contractor labour and nature-friendly installation. You authorise Regionaal Energieloket (REL) to pay the grant directly to the contractor, so you do not have to advance the grant amount.

You must choose between floor and ground insulation, and between internal roof and attic-floor insulation. Work must be within the existing boundary between heated rooms and the outside or unheated spaces. The grant cannot exceed your actual costs after other grants for the same work; it can therefore be reduced when subsidies overlap.

Eligibility

  • You must own and live in the home and be registered in Nijkerk’s municipal population register. The home must lie within Nijkerk and be directly accessible from street level, with a storey at ground level.
  • The municipal property valuation (WOZ) must be no more than €527,000, valued at 1 January 2024. Check your municipal WOZ assessment.
  • At least two existing building components must be uninsulated or poorly insulated. The rules give indicators including less than 9 cm of roof insulation (Rc ≤2.0), no attic-floor insulation, no cavity/internal/external wall insulation (Rc ≤1.1), less than 5 cm of floor insulation (Rc ≤1.3), or single/old double/HR glazing (Ug ≥1.6). Rc measures a component’s resistance to heat loss; Ug measures heat transfer through glass. Higher resistance and lower heat transfer indicate better insulation.
  • The part you insulate must itself be poorly insulated. For the measures covered here, insulate at least 20 m² and use material with Rd ≥3.5 m²K/W, the material’s resistance to heat loss. Attic-floor insulation is eligible only for an unheated attic with a closed hatch or access door. Locally sprayed PIR or PUR roof/attic insulation must use HFC-free blowing agents. A limited exception to the area requirement may be allowed for small homes, with additional evidence; the insulation-value requirement still applies.
  • Use an approved REL contractor and comply with the nature-friendly insulation standards (NVI), which protect birds and bats from disturbance or death during insulation work. For internal roof insulation, check for gaps of 7 mm or more in the roof boards or where the roof meets the wall. If these exist, insulation cannot take place during the bat breeding period from April to August.
  • Work must replace or improve an existing part of the home rather than add a new element, and must not be easily reversible. Costs must be reasonable for the result and the work must serve the programme’s energy-saving purpose.
  • The grant is limited to €1,800 per home for this standard route, with only one application per home per measure. A previously completed application under this programme is a refusal ground.
