Climate-adaptation measures grant

Municipality of NunspeetNiederlande

A grant for homeowners and tenants to install a roof that stores rainwater on a property in Nunspeet’s built-up area.

Diese Finanzierungsmöglichkeit ist derzeit auf Englisch beschrieben.

This entry covers the green-roof route in the climate-adaptation grant. A planted green roof, or a green-blue roof with extra rainwater storage, must hold back rainwater and slow its release sufficiently, as assessed by the municipality.

The roof payment is €25 per m² for storage of at least 18 litres per m², €45 per m² for at least 30 litres per m², or €65 per m² for more than 50 litres per m². For the area calculation, use the roof’s horizontal footprint, rather than its sloping surface area. The municipality funds at most 25 m² per property. At the highest rate that gives €1,625 for the covered roof area, before the cost restriction. The award cannot exceed your actual costs after deducting contributions from others.

This entry covers roof claims with both a requested and calculated contribution of at least €200. The municipality’s general subsidy rules allow it to refuse a request below €200. For example, 8 m² at the €25 rate gives €200, provided the net actual costs also reach that amount.

Eligibility

  • You must be an adult individual who owns the property, or a tenant with the owner’s consent. A tenant must obtain written permission before carrying out the work.
  • The roof must be on a legally built home, extension or outbuilding recorded in the Dutch buildings and addresses register (BAG), within Nunspeet’s built-up area. The municipality assesses whether the roof adequately holds back rainwater and slows its release.
  • Purchase the installation no more than six months before completing it. Submit your claim after completion, within six months and in the same calendar year as the work. Only one claim per measure category per property is allowed.
  • Design and install the roof properly, comply with the applicable building and planning rules, and obtain required permits. Repairs or extensions of an existing installation do not qualify.
  • Keep the installation in place permanently, maintain it properly and allow an on-site inspection. Notify the municipality promptly in writing if you cannot meet an award obligation or relevant circumstances change, and cooperate with municipal checks on the lawful use of the subsidy.

The municipality may refuse funding for activities with a commercial purpose or profit motive. You cannot obtain duplicate funding for the same activity. An award made wrongly may be withdrawn or recovered in whole or part. The municipality can make exceptions in special circumstances where applying the rules strictly would cause serious unfairness.

How to apply

Status
Laufende Antragstellung
Beschränkungen dieser Antragsrunde
  • Claim after completion, within six months and in the same calendar year. Complete claims are processed in arrival order against the annual budget.
  • The scheme runs through 31 December 2028, subject to the annual budget.

Apply to Nunspeet municipality after completing the roof. Use the municipal application form; for help obtaining or submitting it, call (0341) 25 99 11 or email nunspeetleeftnatuurlijk@nunspeet.nl.

Submit a completed and signed form, an invoice in your name with the technical specification and purchase or execution date, and photos before and after installation showing the property clearly. Include a required permit and, if renting, the owner’s written permission. The municipality may request different information where necessary or accept fewer documents where sufficient.

Complete claims are handled in order of arrival, subject to the annual budget. Claims completed on the same day share the available funds proportionally if they would exceed the budget; a claim can be partially refused where it exceeds what remains. The scheme runs through 31 December 2028, but your own six-month and same-calendar-year submission limits still apply.

The municipality decides within eight weeks of receiving a complete application and may extend this once by four weeks. If approved, the award is finalised at the same time and paid within four weeks of finalisation.
