The loan can cover windows and doors with a U-value of 1.1 or lower, insulation of lofts, façades and roofs, heat pumps, heat recovery and ventilation with heat recovery (FTX), and district heating or cooling. A U-value measures heat loss through a window or door; the lower the value, the less heat passes through. Solar panels, solar thermal collectors and solar batteries, LED lighting including presence controls, and charging points close to the property are also covered.
Before Vadstena Sparbank pays out the loan, you must provide invoices specifying the funded measures. The bank sets the amount according to your needs, the property’s cash flow and its borrowing relative to its value. Interest is individually priced, with fixed or variable interest available. You repay the borrowed money according to an agreed repayment schedule. The bank requires no additional follow-up or reporting beyond the invoice requirement.
Eligibility
- Apply as a representative of the business or association that owns the property. Any property type that can undergo energy-efficiency improvements can qualify. This offer is for businesses and associations; private consumers have separate loan offers.
- You must already be a customer of Vadstena Sparbank or intend to transfer the property financing to the bank as part of the energy renovation. New and existing customers must pass the bank’s customer checks, which establish the purpose of the banking relationship and planned transactions, and its usual credit assessment.
- The loan is usually secured against the property through mortgage deeds. The borrowing level the bank accepts depends, among other things, on the type of property.

Start through Vadstena Sparbank’s business-loan application page or call 0143-75500. To use the online form, you must be a customer and have unrestricted authority in the new version of the internet bank. Find the form under Loans in the internet bank or app, describe your financing need and submit it. The bank then obtains a credit report from UC and calls you to discuss financing.
If you are not a customer yet, use the bank’s customer-onboarding instructions and call 0143-75500 to book an appointment with a business adviser. The onboarding page also links a route for associations. For this energy loan, new customers must intend to transfer their property financing as part of the renovation.
