Maine Savings finances the installation of solar, wind, geothermal systems and heat pumps. The wider loan also covers oil furnaces, propane and natural gas systems.
This is a loan you repay, with a term of up to seven years. Maine Savings pays the supplier or contractor directly. You do not need to pledge an asset as security for the loan, subject to the lender’s credit assessment. The advertised interest rate is up to 4.76% lower than its current unsecured rates; the reduction is not guaranteed for every borrower, and rates, terms and conditions may change without notice.
Eligibility
- You must own the single-family residence where the energy system will be installed.
- The offer is only for energy systems not yet purchased and installed. Standard credit and loan approval checks apply.
- You must qualify for Maine Savings membership through where you work, where you live or your relationship to an existing member. Call 800.273.6700 or visit a branch for the membership eligibility check.
- Joining requires depositing $5 in a share account and keeping at least $5 in it to remain a member. For a joint membership, the requirement is $5 per member: $10 for two members or $15 for three.
