Borrow at a fixed interest rate to install solar panels on a home you own and occupy, or will occupy, in Berkelland.

Αυτή η ευκαιρία είναι προς το παρόν διαθέσιμη στα Αγγλικά.

This personal-loan route finances solar panels for a home in Berkelland. Solar panels and solar film qualify. Necessary materials and installation costs can be financed; if you do the work yourself, only purchased materials and products count, not your own labour.

Borrow €2,500–€35,000 at 2.6% interest, fixed for the whole term. The €35,000 maximum counts previous loans under this scheme for the same applicant and home. The term is at most 10 years for €15,000 or less, and at most 15 years from €15,001. This is an annuity loan: monthly payments cover interest and reduce the amount you owe. No mortgage security is established for this personal loan.

SVn charges no arrangement fee. You pay any financial-adviser costs yourself. You can repay early without an extra charge, with a minimum extra repayment of €250. You must still repay the loan if your installer fails to honour your contract.

The money goes into a construction depot, an account used to pay approved invoices. It normally runs for 12 months and can be extended once by up to 12 months at your request. It closes when the loan is fully drawn or the works are complete, and at the latest after 24 months. Unused money then reduces your loan balance. SVn may close it after six months without transactions and use the balance to repay the loan.

Late payment can bring statutory interest and administration or collection costs. SVn can demand immediate repayment in specified cases: at least two months of arrears continuing after formal notice; leaving, or an expected departure from, your permanent residence in the Netherlands; death where SVn has good reason to expect obligations will not be met; bankruptcy or statutory personal debt restructuring; or deliberately false information material to the loan decision, including misuse of the loan for other measures.

Eligibility

  • The loan is for an existing home. You must own the home and live there as your main residence, or intend to do so. The home must be in Berkelland, accessible directly from street level, with at least one floor at ground level. Apartments within a homeowners’ association (VvE) are excluded.
  • All joint owners apply together. At least one applicant must be younger than 76 when applying to SVn. Each joint borrower is responsible for the whole debt, not only their share.
  • The project must include at least one eligible energy measure. Solar panels meet that category. Measures must be applied with regard to electricity-grid capacity, comply with applicable rules and any permit requirements, and use permanently fixed materials.
  • Apply before work begins. Costs must be at least €2,500 and reasonable for the expected result. Your cumulative borrowing under the scheme must stay within €35,000 for the home. Applications are refused if the available budget is insufficient.
  • SVn separately assesses whether your income and household situation can support the extra monthly payments alongside existing expenses. It checks the Dutch credit register (BKR). Municipal allocation does not guarantee a loan; SVn determines the final loan amount and can refuse credit.

How to apply

Όροι του κύκλου αιτήσεων
  • Apply before work starts. Allocation depends on sufficient budget.

Register through the Energieloket Achterhoek residents portal before starting work. Energieloket handles the municipal assessment. Provide the planned measures, quotations or an itemised cost estimate, and a work schedule. If approved, you receive an allocation letter for the SVn application.

Applications are handled in order of arrival. The municipality decides within eight weeks of receiving the application or its completion. If information is missing, you have four weeks to supply it; otherwise the application is not processed.

Apply to SVn with the allocation letter, activate your MijnSVn account and upload the requested documents for the credit assessment. After approval, send your SVn reference to Energieloket through the residents portal. The work can then begin. Submit invoices and SVn declaration forms through that portal for payments from the depot. Monthly interest and repayments start when the loan takes effect.

SVn normally pays the contractor from the depot. If you paid an invoice yourself, supply proof of payment for reimbursement. Any banking charges are passed on to you.
