Grants help Lochem residents, nonprofits and small businesses assess and strengthen eligible roofs for solar electricity or solar heat.

Αυτή η ευκαιρία είναι προς το παρόν διαθέσιμη στα Αγγλικά.

The grant pays for a roof structure study and, where the study shows this is necessary, strengthening the roof for solar panels or solar heat collectors. The study must meet NEN 7250 and assess a system of at least 3 kWp of solar electricity capacity or 2 m² of solar collectors. It must show how many panels will be installed, their added weight, and what changes are needed if the roof cannot carry them.

The study grant covers actual costs up to €1,000. Roof strengthening receives €60 per installed solar panel or €100 per installed m² of solar collectors. Integrated electricity and heat systems use €100 per m². Strengthening is capped at €2,500 for a private roof, €5,000 for a nonprofit or small-business roof, and €10,000 for a collective initiative in which at least three residents invest jointly in installing solar panels or collectors. The strengthening payment never exceeds the invoice.

Eligible costs include labour and materials for the work. Costs already subsidised by others, recoverable VAT, application administration and labour, and permit application costs are excluded. You pay for completed work first; the municipality gives no advance.

Eligibility

  • You must be a Lochem resident, nonprofit organization or small entrepreneur with up to 10 employees. You must own, occupy or use the eligible building in Lochem; housing-corporation-owned property is excluded.
  • The regulation defines eligible buildings as legally built apartment complexes, business premises, offices, schools, association buildings and community or multifunctional neighbourhood buildings, including their associated annexes and extensions. They must be recorded in Lochem’s Basisregistratie adressen en gebouwen (BAG), the official address and building register.
  • Your project must have started after 13 February 2023. A study claim requires the completed study and proof that its invoice is paid.
  • For strengthening, the study must demonstrate that the roof needs the changes for the solar installation. You must complete the strengthening in line with the structural advice, install at least 3 kWp of solar panels or 2 m² of solar collectors, and pay all invoices before claiming.
  • You must cooperate with any on-site inspection and provide access to relevant documents.
