Green mortgage
A mortgage for individuals buying an A- or B-rated energy-efficient home, which can also be offered for refinancing or increasing an existing home loan.
Αυτή η ευκαιρία είναι προς το παρόν διαθέσιμη στα Αγγλικά.
Storebrand Bank lends against the home, and you repay the loan with interest and fees. Its green mortgage covers homes with energy label A or B, regardless of the loan amount. Flexible repayments and periods in which you pay interest without repaying the principal may be offered.
The bank assesses the interest rate individually using the loan size, your equity, finances and market conditions. Its published prices are indicative. Separate terms apply to total borrowing of NOK 10 million or more and to customers who do not use Storebrand as their main bank with a salary account and bank card.
The linked price list gives an establishment fee from NOK 2,190, a collateral-administration fee of NOK 950 per pledged property and a NOK 50 instalment fee when payments are debited directly from an account.
Eligibility
- Your home must have energy label A or B. Document the rating with a valuation, purchase contract or energy certificate. The energy label describes the energy needed to maintain the indoor temperature and the energy source used for heating; it is usually shown in the sale prospectus or property advertisement.
- You can apply when buying a qualifying home. Refinancing and increasing an existing mortgage may also qualify.
- Moving your everyday accounts to Storebrand is not required to obtain a mortgage, although using it as your main bank affects the terms offered.
- Under the bank’s general mortgage terms, borrowing within 60% of the property valuation can receive up to ten years without principal repayments and a total repayment period of up to 40 years. An interest-only arrangement is conditional, and the price list charges NOK 600 for this type of change.
