Home energy-efficiency rebates
Rebates help San Isabel Electric members pay for qualifying home heat-pump water heaters and insulation upgrades.

An eligible air-source heat-pump water heater receives $350 per unit. Spray-foam insulation receives 60% of the insulation cost, up to $500, for either new construction or an existing home. Blown-in insulation receives 60% of the insulation cost, up to $250 for an existing home only.
If you generate some of your own electricity, the rebate is reduced according to the share of power supplied by San Isabel Electric.
Eligibility
- San Isabel Electric must supply electricity to the home where you install the equipment. Apply in the name shown on your electricity account. Members may receive one rebate per product type per year.
- A heat-pump water heater must hold ENERGY STAR certification, the required efficiency label, and have a capacity of at least 30 gallons. Used or refurbished equipment is excluded; gas appliances are excluded.
- Blown-in insulation must upgrade an existing home; it is excluded for new construction. Spray foam qualifies for existing homes and new construction. Batting insulation is excluded. Submit before and after photos with the insulation application.
- San Isabel Electric may check the purchase and inspect the installation. You must certify that the equipment is installed at the service location and meets the rules; a non-compliant claim may be denied or adjusted.

- Submit the complete claim within 90 days of purchase.
- Claims received after January 31 are subject to that receipt year’s offer.
- The published 2026 offer terms are effective January 1 through December 31; this is not a fixed application deadline. Claims remain subject to the purchase-based 90-day limit and receipt-year rules.
Before purchasing or applying, contact San Isabel Electric at residentialrebates@siea.com or 719-647-6250 to verify participation and application requirements. Funds are limited, and the utility may change incentives or end the programme.
Submit the Residential Rebate Application and required documents within 90 days of purchase. Attach a receipt or paid invoice showing the member name, purchase date, payment, equipment make, model and serial number, and any associated labour costs. The utility may request equipment performance sheets. For insulation, also supply the before and after photos.
These are the 2026 terms. Applications received after January 31 are subject to the programme offer for the year in which they are received, so earlier eligibility does not guarantee that the equipment qualifies under later terms.
