Energy and flood-protection loan

Sparekassen DanmarkDenmark

Borrow for energy improvements or flood protection in your privately owned house, apartment or holiday home.

You can finance insulation, ventilation, energy-efficient windows and doors, ground-source heating, air-to-water or air-to-air heat pumps, solar panels with an optional battery, solar thermal collectors, household wind turbines, district heating or water-based central heating.

Flood-protection measures include drainage around the house and through the foundation, sewer backflow prevention, pump wells, soakaways that redirect rainwater, and sedum or green roofs that absorb rainfall and slow runoff.

Sparekassen Danmark lends you money that you repay with interest. Any setup costs are deducted from the amount paid out. Your loan information sets out the actual borrowing and repayment timing and costs. Interest rates are variable unless expressly agreed otherwise, so your interest costs can change.

Eligibility

  • You must own a house, apartment or holiday home. The offer covers private permanent and holiday homes.
  • The bank carries out its ordinary credit assessment before setting up the loan.
  • Submit an invoice showing both the energy-improvement measure and labour costs. The invoice must come from a business registered in Denmark’s Central Business Register (CVR).
