Green business car leasing

SwedbankSweden

Businesses can lease electric cars with zero CO₂ emissions per kilometre. Swedbank owns the vehicle and your business pays to use it; financing can cover its full value.

The car remains the bank’s property and serves as security for the financing. You pay leasing fees under your agreement. The interest rate is variable, and the price is individually quoted based on the company’s finances, banking relationship and needs.

The published example includes a SEK 950 setup fee and SEK 45 monthly invoice fee; all quoted example prices exclude VAT. Check these example costs against your quote. Electronic invoices have no invoice fee. Agree the initial payment, lease duration and arrangements when the lease ends with the bank.

Eligibility

  • The car must be electric with 0 g CO₂/km; the offer is independent of vehicle brand.
  • Apply through the business customer route. Swedbank obtains a credit report after you submit the application.
  • For larger fleets, the bank suggests its framework agreement for 5–19 cars and recommends Autoplan from 10 cars.

How to apply

Dates not announced

Use the linked business-finance guide. In online banking or the app, open Loans and describe the company’s needs in the application. The person applying online needs unrestricted permissions in the new online bank. Swedbank confirms receipt, obtains a UC credit report and calls within a few days to discuss financing. You can also call 0771-33 44 33 or contact your account manager for a quote. If your business is not a customer, become one before applying.

A separate climate premium may apply to eligible light electric trucks, certain heavy trucks and work machines; it does not cover passenger cars. Where applicable, do not order the vehicle yourself: Swedbank must apply before ordering. Supply quotes for the chosen vehicle and the closest comparable fossil-fuel vehicle, and report delivery delays. Payment is no earlier than six months after delivery and depends on funds remaining. When Swedbank receives the premium, it lowers the vehicle’s base price and recalculates all lease fees. The bank states that applications for light electric trucks cease from 1 November 2027; this is not an end date for the lease offer.
