You borrow from ProCredit Bank Bulgaria and must repay the loan. Finance improvements such as heating and cooling equipment, insulation, building controls, agricultural machinery, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. These energy-efficiency projects must meet the bank’s efficiency comparison described below.
Renewable-energy investments must produce or use energy resources that are inexhaustible or can be replenished quickly. Examples include solar panels and solar hot-water collectors, geothermal heating and cooling, biomass and biogas systems, wind turbines and hydroelectric power stations.
The loan also covers recycling and waste management, treatment equipment such as filters and water purification systems, organic production, afforestation and restoration of disturbed land. For recycling and waste-management businesses, financing can cover day-to-day business needs (working capital) or machinery purchases; landfills are excluded. Organic-production financing can cover working capital, certification and new equipment to change soil cultivation. Suppliers, auditors and other businesses providing services in this environmental area can receive working-capital financing.
Eligibility
Your business must be a small or medium-sized enterprise, and its investment or activity must fall within the bank’s eligible green activities.
- For energy efficiency, energy consumption must fall while production is maintained or increased. Using machine-productivity calculations, the bank requires at least 20% higher efficiency than the equipment being replaced, or 20% higher efficiency than alternative new models sold in the country.
- Wind turbines and hydroelectric power stations require an environmental impact assessment conducted according to the bank’s criteria.
- Circular-economy investments and activities must be clearly connected to reusing resources, with 100% of the resources used already recycled.
The bank’s internal engineering staff assess the effectiveness of specific investments. Where an investment has clear quantitative indicators, they calculate carbon-dioxide savings.

Select the loan type, amount and term, confirm your email address and phone number, and enter your company details. The bank sends the completed application for signing through Eurotrust. After submission, a bank representative contacts you about financing.
