Energy renovation grant
A municipal grant for resident individual property owners who have received a Geneva cantonal grant for improving the energy performance of a local building.

The municipal payment matches your Geneva State grant, up to CHF 25,000 per applicant, inclusive of VAT. Together, the municipal and cantonal grants cannot exceed the total project cost.
Support covers CECB®Plus energy assessments that identify possible improvements, building insulation, better technical installations, heat recovery and replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy. It also covers comprehensive renovation leading to Minergie Rénovation or Minergie-P standards, or an improvement of several CECB® energy classes.
Eligibility
- You must own the building as an individual and be domiciled in Chêne-Bougeries.
- The building must be in Chêne-Bougeries.
- You must already have obtained a cantonal GEnergie grant and received its payment before applying for this municipal supplement.
The municipality decides whether to award the grant. There is no legal entitlement, and decisions granting or refusing it cannot be appealed. Support remains subject to the municipal budget being available and the directive remaining in force.

- Apply after the cantonal grant has been paid. Available until the municipal budget is exhausted or the directive is revoked.[^c4][^c7]
After the cantonal grant has been paid, email energie@chene-bougeries.ch or apply at the municipal office counter. Include a description of the funded work and its detailed costs, the Geneva State grant decision, proof of its payment and your bank details.
The administration may request further documents. It reviews the file, validates the application and pays the municipal grant.
