Duurzaam en Langer Thuis energy-saving loan

Municipality of VeerePaíses Bajos2,5–25 mil EUR

An unsecured loan for Veere owner-occupiers to reduce their home’s energy use.

Esta oportunidad está disponible actualmente en inglés.

The ordinary personal-loan route finances municipal-approved energy-saving work. Examples include solar panels attached to the existing home and ground-source or air-to-water heat pumps for hot water or home heating.

Borrow €2,500–€25,000, no more than the accepted actual cost of necessary materials and work. Interest is fixed at 1.5% for the whole term. The maximum term is ten years up to €10,000 and fifteen years from €10,001.

SVn provides the money through a construction depot: funds set aside to pay for the work. You repay monthly through an annuity: each payment covers interest and reduces the outstanding loan. No collateral is required. There is no closing fee; an independent financial adviser’s charges are your responsibility. You can repay early, fully or partly, without extra charges; an extra partial repayment must be at least €250. You must repay the loan even if your contractor or installer fails to fulfil their agreement.

Eligibility

  • You must own and live in the home. Multiple owners apply jointly. At least one applicant must be under 76 when SVn receives the application.
  • The dwelling must be in Veere, at least one year old, and suitable and intended for permanent residence. Its WOZ value—the property’s official assessed value—must not exceed the National Mortgage Guarantee (NHG) cost limit applicable when you apply.
  • The municipality must accept the measures. You must acquire ownership of financed equipment; rental, leasing and borrowing arrangements without ownership do not qualify. Apply before work starts or is completed, and carry out the measures within twelve months.
  • If you choose insulation, the minimum Rd thermal resistance is 3.5 m² K/W for floor/ground insulation, 5 for the roof and 4.5 for internal or external wall insulation. Cavity-wall minima are 1.3 for homes built before 1973 and 1.6 for homes built after 1973. For high-efficiency glazing, heat transmission must be below U = 1.2 W/m² K; replacement frames can also be financed when installing HR++ or triple glazing. A solar thermal system must yield at least 1.5 GJ annually, evidenced by its certificate, output declaration or equivalent declaration. An energy report by a certified EPA adviser can be financed only alongside at least one report measure reducing energy use or increasing renewable energy.
  • Loans depend on the available municipal budget. Municipal approval reserves funds but does not guarantee a loan. SVn separately assesses income, household circumstances and living/work situation to check that you can afford additional monthly payments alongside existing expenses; it can reject the loan.

The municipality handles applications in receipt order. For the application route, contact gemeente@veere.nl or (0118) 555 444.
