Green mortgage for an A- or B-rated home
A mortgage for people who own or are buying a home with energy rating A or B.
Esta oportunidad está disponible actualmente en inglés.
Borrow from Grong Sparebank for a home that already has energy rating A or B. This is a mortgage secured by property: you repay the borrowed money as well as interest and fees.
The advertised nominal annual interest rate starts at 5.34% for loans up to 50% of the home’s value, 5.44% above 50% and up to 75%, and 5.68% above 75% and up to 85%. These are starting rates for the whole loan. The bank sets your final rate individually after assessing your creditworthiness.
The establishment fee is 0.25% of the loan, with a minimum of NOK 2,750 and a maximum of NOK 7,500. The payment-period fee starts at NOK 65, the change/payment-holiday fee is NOK 450, and the document/depot fee is NOK 1,200. Official registration charges are additional.
The green mortgage has a fixed monthly payment. With this repayment pattern, part pays interest and part reduces the amount you owe; the principal repayment grows as the balance falls. You can make extra repayments, reducing the cost and repayment period.
Eligibility
- You must own or be buying a home with energy rating A or B. A home with the required rating qualifies for the green product, subject to the bank’s lending assessment.
- The price bands described here cover borrowing up to 85% of the home’s value.
- The bank assesses whether you can afford the loan, considering your income, other debts and family circumstances. Your final interest rate follows an overall credit assessment.
