Climate Premium for environmental work machines
Grants for businesses, municipalities and regions buying a new low-emission work machine for use in Sweden.

The grant is based on the price difference between the environmental work machine and the nearest comparable conventional vehicle. It can cover up to 40% of that difference, or up to 50% when the machine runs only on electricity.
A qualifying machine is a motorized implement or tractor with continuous motor output of at least 10 kW. It must be designed to run only on electricity, a qualifying biofuel that cannot be used in an engine capable of running on fossil fuel, or an electrofuel such as fossil-free hydrogen.
Grants are awarded only while funds remain.
Eligibility
Businesses, municipalities and regions can apply to buy a new qualifying machine. Parishes and pastorates can also apply.
- Apply before ordering the machine. You may order it after Energimyndigheten receives the application; you do not need to wait for a decision.
- The machine must not previously have been put into use for its intended purpose in Sweden or elsewhere.
- A demonstration machine can qualify if it has not been used for its intended purpose. A brief test does not count as prior use, but rental or leasing to an operator does.
- A purchase required by law, another regulation or a permit cannot receive support. A cost already supported by another public grant is also excluded.
For a machine registered in the road traffic register, payment requires Swedish registration and continued ownership for six months after it is put on the road. A machine that does not need registration must remain in your ownership and be located and used in Sweden.

Log in to Energimyndigheten's Mina sidor with personal BankID. Request authorization for the Klimatpremie service, then submit the application before ordering the machine.
If approved, request payment within 12 months of the decision unless Energimyndigheten sets another deadline. An extension may be available for special reasons.
Energimyndigheten currently warns that payment requests face long processing times and are handled in a queue.
