Suryodaya Loan
Borrow up to INR200,000 to install grid-connected rooftop solar at a residential property you own in India.
Tämän rahoitusmahdollisuuden kuvaus on toistaiseksi englanniksi.
This entry covers the loan route up to INR200,000 (2 lakh). You must contribute at least 10% of the project cost yourself. Central Financial Assistance or subsidy cannot count towards that contribution.
The loan carries floating interest: the published effective rate for this tier is 6.00% a year. In the rate table effective 8 October 2026, the bank’s repo-linked lending rate is 8.30% (5.50% plus 2.80%), with no additional product spread and a 2.30 percentage-point strategic discount. The interest rate can change with the floating benchmark.
You repay the loan with interest over a maximum of ten years, including any repayment deferral of up to six months. The solar assets bought with the loan are pledged to the bank as security. After the required feasibility reports have been submitted, the bank pays the loan and your own contribution directly to the vendor or installation contractor.
The bank also lists separate individual rooftop-solar subsidies of INR30,000 for 1 kW, INR60,000 for 2 kW and INR78,000 for 3 kW or more. These subsidy amounts are separate from the loan and cannot replace your required own contribution.
