Green loan

Ballina Credit UnionIrlanti

Borrow for home energy improvements or green transport if you live, work or study in Ballina Credit Union’s local membership area.

Tämän rahoitusmahdollisuuden kuvaus on toistaiseksi englanniksi.

Ballina Credit Union lends you money for improvements such as insulation, solar panels, boiler upgrades and sustainable water or ventilation systems. You can also finance an electric or hybrid car, a home charger, a bicycle or an e-bike.

You repay the borrowed money with interest. The advertised interest rate is 6.5% for both the Green Personal Loan and Green Car Loan. Calculator repayment figures are only a rough guide. The maximum repayment term is 10 years for home improvements and 7 years for transport; the term offered depends on the amount you borrow.

The product advertises no hidden fees, no penalties for paying the loan off early, and flexibility to increase your repayments. Free loan protection insurance is available to eligible members. Missing repayments puts the account into arrears and can affect your credit rating and future access to credit.

Eligibility

  • You must be a member and be able to afford the repayments, including interest, throughout the loan term. Loan approval is required.
  • To join, you must live, work or study within the credit union’s common bond area, its local membership boundary. This extends from Ballycastle to Lahardane, Foxford and Templeboy in west Sligo, including the area between them.
  • Provide evidence of the work being undertaken and proof of purchase. All Green Loans require proof of purchase.
