SC Net Zero Ventures finances expansion after a technology company has demonstrated market demand for its solution and validated its business model. This is later growth financing, after initial development and commercialisation; the fund invests at Series B or later stages. It invests in company ownership: Suma Capital becomes a part-owner of the business through the fund.
Alongside the money, Suma Capital supports market expansion, operations and access to networks, and helps companies measure and achieve their environmental impact targets.
Eligibility
- Your company must have demonstrated market demand for its solution — what the fund calls commercial traction — and have a validated business model. It must be ready to grow quickly. The fund invests at Series B or later stages, when companies are expanding beyond initial development and commercialisation.
- The fund looks for strong business models with long-term growth potential. Its climate focus includes significant carbon-emission reductions, renewable energy and the circular economy, in energy, industry and mobility.
- Its published geographic investment focus is Europe (80%) and North America (20%).
