England Woodland Creation Offer

Forestry CommissionAngleterre

Grants for landowners, land managers and public bodies creating new woodland in England.

Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.

The offer pays towards establishing and maintaining new woodland that follows the UK Forestry Standard. Standard creation costs are capped at an average of £10,200 per hectare.

You can also choose annual maintenance payments of £400 per hectare for 15 years. Additional one-off payments may apply when the woodland's location and design deliver specified public benefits.

Eligibility

Landowners, land managers and public bodies can apply, including tenants and landlords who both agree to the proposal.

The land must be entirely in England, under your management control for the agreement, and cover at least one hectare. Individual blocks must be at least 0.1 hectare, and woodland normally must be at least 20 metres wide.

Existing woodland and woodland creation already required by law do not qualify. EWCO also cannot pay for capital works already required under another agreement.
