Rebates for residential and business members installing new efficient heat pumps on Caney Valley Electric lines in southeast Kansas.

Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.

Caney Valley Electric pays a $200 rebate for a new electric air-source or ground-source heat pump, in addition to a rebate from its power supplier, Kansas Electric Power Cooperative (KEPCo). The KEPCo payment depends on the unit’s rated capacity, measured in tons; the rates below apply to each half-ton of that capacity.

For air-source heat pumps, the KEPCo schedule pays $50 per half-ton at a 14.5 SEER or 14.3 SEER2 rating; $75 per half-ton at a 16 SEER or 15.2 SEER2 rating; and $100 per half-ton at a 17 SEER or 16 SEER2 rating and above. All air-source units must be ENERGY STAR certified. Check the unit’s certification and efficiency ratings against this schedule.

For geothermal ground-source heat pumps, KEPCo pays $125 per half-ton. Closed-loop units must meet minimum ratings of 3.3 COP and 14.1 EER; open-loop units must meet 3.6 COP and 16.2 EER. Check both performance ratings for your unit and its loop type.
