Energy efficiency rebates
Residential members can receive a rebate for a new ENERGY STAR electric clothes dryer, with a higher payment for a ventless heat-pump model.
Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.
The residential clothes-dryer route pays $30 for a standard electric dryer or $90 for a ventless heat-pump dryer. The rebate is limited to one dryer per Continental Divide account. Sales tax and labour costs are not eligible. A discounted dryer can receive a smaller rebate; a free dryer is not eligible.
These incentives come through Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association. Continental Divide Electric Cooperative (CDEC) forwards your complete application to Tri-State and mails you a check after receiving reimbursement. Allow 3–4 weeks for processing.
Eligibility
You must be a Continental Divide residential member with a CDEC account. The supported home is within CDEC’s electricity service territory in New Mexico; it includes Grants and nearby service districts.
Buy a new electric clothes dryer that is ENERGY STAR rated or certified. Check the model’s certification and keep proof of its manufacturer and model number. Both standard electric dryers and ventless heat-pump dryers can qualify; only one dryer rebate is available per account.
