Efficient household appliance grant
A grant towards replacing old household appliances with efficient Topten-listed models for rhiienergie electricity customers.
Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.
The grant is paid per replacement appliance, according to its energy-label class:
- Dryers for a single-family home: class A CHF 100; class B CHF 70.
- Washer-dryers, refrigerators, fridge-freezer combinations, upright freezers and chest freezers: class A CHF 100; class B CHF 70; class C CHF 50.
- Dishwashers: class A CHF 70; class B CHF 50.
- Extractor hoods: class A+++ CHF 70; class A++ or A+ CHF 50.
Foodcenters are excluded. The device must appear on the eligible Topten product list and have the required energy-label class.
Eligibility
- You must be an electricity end customer of Rhiienergie AG. Individuals, companies and property managers can apply; property owners and housing cooperatives can also benefit under the customer requirement.
- Install the new appliance in a property within rhiienergie’s end-customer supply territory in Graubünden. The utility supplies Rhäzüns, Bonaduz, Tamins, Domat/Ems and Felsberg. Being a resident alone does not meet the electricity-customer condition.
- Order the device after 1 July 2026. The order date controls where order, delivery and payment dates differ. The new appliance must replace an older one; first acquisitions, for example when buying a home, are excluded.
- Confirm professional disposal of the old appliance. It must not be used again in Switzerland.
- Double funding is prohibited. There is no entitlement to a grant, and conditions can change. The rates and conditions in force when you file govern your application.
- Give access to the supported appliances for spot checks. Grants obtained through false or incomplete information or noncompliance can be reclaimed and must then be repaid; applicants may also be excluded from future programmes.
- You exclusively transfer proof of the appliance’s electricity savings to rhiienergie so it can count them towards its statutory savings target or transfer that proof to a third party for that purpose. The Swiss Federal Office of Energy may check compliance, and data may be shared with it or its appointed office for those checks.

- Conditions de cette période de candidature
- Apply within six months of the order date; this entry covers purchases ordered after 1 July 2026.
- Maximum 500 appliances per calendar year; intake pauses when the limit is reached.
Apply through Topten’s online rhiienergie form within six months of ordering the appliance. Upload an invoice showing the purchase/order date, manufacturer, model/type and delivery address. Fill in the application completely; incomplete or incorrect claims are rejected.
Topten makes the final decision on approval and the amount, with no appeal route. Payment goes to the bank account entered in the claim. If a registered Topten installer or implementation partner has already deducted the grant from your invoice, you do not submit a separate claim.
The programme supports at most 500 appliances per calendar year. If this limit is reached, it pauses and no further grants are paid; a notice is published on the provider and Topten websites. Rhiienergie may also end the programme at any time.
