Heat pump rebate
Equipment rebates for homeowners served by Sioux Valley Energy who install a qualifying heat pump for home heating and cooling.
Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.
You can receive a rebate for a heat pump in a new home, a renovation or a replacement installation.
Geothermal heat pumps receive $1,200. Air-to-air heat pumps receive $1,200 with an electric backup furnace or $600 with a non-electric backup furnace. Ductless air-source heat pumps receive $300 per account. The rebate cannot exceed the cost of the equipment.
Eligibility
- You must be a homeowner with a Sioux Valley Energy account for the served installation.
- Your heat pump must have a capacity of at least two tons. For an air-to-air system, the rebate amount depends on whether the backup furnace is electric.
- The installation must be in Sioux Valley Energy’s service territory: parts of Brookings, Lake, Moody, Minnehaha and Kingsbury counties in eastern South Dakota, and Pipestone and Rock counties in southwestern Minnesota.
- Rebates are available only once every ten years per account and per structure. The claim form specifies ten years from the previous rebate.
