CGEMC member households can receive a $400 bill credit for a qualifying all-electric air-source heat pump with a load-management switch.

Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.

The Residential Rebate Program covers installation or replacement of an all-electric air-source heat pump. The $400 rebate is credited to your electricity account after verification and installation of a load-management switch.

The switch lets CGEMC temporarily reduce electricity demand at busy times. It must stay fitted and working for as long as CGEMC operates its load-management programme. Participants also receive a separate $20 bill credit in November for their heat-pump participation.

Eligibility

  • You must be a CGEMC residential member household with equipment at your service address. CGEMC serves parts of middle Georgia; this offer is for its members.
  • The heat pump must be entirely electric, rated at least 14.3 SEER2 for cooling efficiency. Dual-fuel systems do not qualify.
  • The equipment must have been purchased in 2026 and installed on or after January 1, 2026.
  • CGEMC Energy Management staff decides whether a load-management switch can safely and effectively be installed. Equipment that cannot take a switch does not qualify. You must consent to continued participation while the programme exists.
  • The limit is one qualifying heat-pump rebate per member/household, with a maximum of one HVAC rebate per member number per year.
