Electrify & Save rebates
A $350 rebate for active Empire Electric members installing an ENERGY STAR air-source heat-pump water heater.
Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.
The retained water-heater rebate under Electrify & Save pays $350 for a qualifying air-source heat-pump water heater, which uses a heat pump to heat water. You can choose an electric-account credit or a check. Allow six to eight weeks after submitting a complete form; submitting an application does not guarantee a rebate.
Empire Electric Association (EEA) reserves the right to inspect installed equipment receiving a rebate.
Eligibility
- You must have an active electric account with EEA. Its service territory covers parts of southwest Colorado and southeast Utah, including Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, Dove Creek, Towaoc, Monticello and surrounding areas.
- The air-source heat-pump water heater must be ENERGY STAR rated and hold at least 30 gallons. A unit used as backup for another source, such as solar water heating or a ground-source heat pump, does not qualify.
- Before buying or installing the equipment, call EEA’s Energy Management Advisor at 970-565-4444 to arrange an assessment of your electrical service capacity. You must notify EEA of material changes or increases in your connected electrical load. Refusing required service upgrades can cause the rebate to be denied.
- Participation requires accepting the application terms. EEA and Tri-State give no warranty for equipment, installation workmanship or energy savings. You participate at your own risk and must research products and services and take care when choosing vendors and installers. You release EEA, Tri-State and their officers, agents and employees from liability and agree not to sue them for losses, property damage, injury or death arising from participation, including harm caused by their negligence.
