Energy fund
Project grants for EBM members and eligible electricity-network customers to improve energy efficiency or reduce CO₂ emissions.

This entry covers the fund’s A2 project route. It contributes up to 30% of documented net project costs excluding VAT, with a maximum of CHF 30,000 per project. Primeo Energie pays the grant after completion; it is not an advance. The contribution rates in force when your application is approved apply.
Eligibility
You must be an EBM cooperative member or a customer in Primeo Energie’s electricity-network areas. Households, companies and public institutions can apply. Being a heat-network customer alone does not qualify for A2; that route is restricted to district-heating connections under B3.
Apply before the project starts, during planning and before construction. Demonstrate an improvement in energy efficiency or a reduction in CO₂ emissions. Declare other subsidies, including federal, cantonal, municipal and charitable support.
Applicants already awarded a contribution are not prioritised for 365 days. Primeo Energie makes the final decision on awards and amounts, with no appeal, and may change the supported areas and measures.
Complete and commission the project and notify the fund within 12 months of approval, or the grant entitlement expires. Cancelled or abandoned projects lose the award without compensation. Inform the fund early in writing if you will not proceed.
After completion, submit the final notification and report, acceptance or commissioning record, and final accounts. Payments exclude VAT and any levies or fees and go to the stated bank account. For jointly owned property, payment goes to the applicant or management; the applicant is responsible for distributing it. Grants paid on false or incomplete information must be repaid in full. Payment gives Primeo Energie the right to inspect the project and report on it in its communications.

Apply through Primeo Energie’s online Energiefonds form and select A2. The form asks for your customer number, contact details and bank account. Submit the application with the required attachments preferably at least four months before implementation, during planning and before construction; the fund accepts no responsibility for project delays. Primeo Energie reviews the application and sends its decision in writing.
