Green loans
Loans for green investments linked to Swedish exports, such as renewable energy and energy savings.
Ez a lehetőség jelenleg angolul érhető el.
The investments can be in Sweden or abroad.
The money must go towards specific investments that benefit the environment. These can include renewable energy, energy savings or ways to reuse materials and resources.
Eligibility
SEK primarily works with medium-sized and large Swedish companies with annual revenue of at least SEK 500 million. That figure is not a general minimum for borrowing. Your company and investment must fit SEK's role in financing Swedish exports.
SEK uses two routes to assess the environmental requirements:
- Under the EU taxonomy route, the project must make a substantial contribution to at least one EU environmental objective. Where possible, it must also avoid significant harm to the other objectives. Minimum social safeguards must be met.
- For investments outside the EU where the bank cannot verify all taxonomy requirements, other environmental criteria apply for the relevant sector. Minimum social safeguards still apply.
Social safeguards include requirements on human rights and working conditions.
Ask SEK which assessment and requirements in its Sustainability Bond Framework apply to your project. You must measure and report the expected and actual environmental benefits every year.
