Easy’Green Loan

Wallonie EntreprendreBelgiumlegfeljebb 1 M EUR

Loans for businesses of any size investing in energy efficiency, renewable energy or other carbon-reduction projects in Wallonia.

Ez a lehetőség jelenleg angolul érhető el.

You can finance insulation, windows, heating, LED lighting and more efficient machinery, as well as solar panels, wind, biomethanation and electric-vehicle charging stations. Easy’Green also covers cooling equipment adapted to fluorinated-gas legislation and technological or non-technological innovation, including circular-economy projects, that reduces carbon emissions.

Wallonie Entreprendre lends directly to your business. You repay the borrowed money with interest; the published rate is an IRS reference rate plus a margin. There is no minimum loan, with up to €1 million per project and a total outstanding limit of €3 million per company. Financing can cover up to 100% of the funding needed for eligible carbon-reduction work and can stand alone or accompany other public or private finance. Other project costs must be financed separately: the official renovation example covers insulation, a heat pump, solar panels and charging stations, while plastering and other general works are financed by a bank or the company’s own money.

The repayment period depends on the project. A grace period before repaying principal may be agreed. There are no application fees or early repayment fees. After approval and fulfilment of any conditions, you sign the loan agreement and the funds become available, so the company does not have to pre-finance the project.

Eligibility

  • Businesses of all sizes can apply, including people who are self-employed alongside another job. Your registered office or operating site must be in Wallonia; the glossary specifies an operating site and/or investment location in Wallonia.
  • Your business must not be in financial difficulty. The published test presumes difficulty if equity is below half of subscribed capital and more than a quarter of subscribed capital has been lost in the last 12 months, or if the business meets the conditions for collective insolvency proceedings, including judicial reorganisation (PRJ).
  • Most sectors are eligible, but fishing, aquaculture and some other specific activities are excluded. The transition team assesses sector eligibility through transition@wallonie-entreprendre.be.
  • The financed work must reduce your business’s carbon footprint. For fluorinated-gas equipment, the work must address the applicable legislation; for eco-innovation and circular-economy projects, it must have a positive effect on carbon emissions.

  • Applications can be submitted at any time.[^c12]

Applications can be submitted at any time. Contact Wallonie Entreprendre’s transition adviser through the financing contact form or transition@wallonie-entreprendre.be; prior adviser contact is recommended. Complete the energy form for energy efficiency, renewable energy or fluorinated-gas projects, or the eco-innovation form for innovation and circular-economy projects, and return it to that email address.

The forms ask for company ownership, existing debts, a project budget and financing plan, the last three years of accounts if they exist, and a recent balance sheet and income statement. Disclose public aid for your business and linked businesses; the form requests de minimis aid for the three accounting years including the current year. If other companies are shareholders, include the group structure and ownership links. Attach investment quotations for energy projects. Eco-innovation applicants must also provide project-team CVs, a three-year business plan, the expected reduction in carbon emissions and their market, competition and commercialisation plans.
