Skue Sparebank lends you money to buy an energy-efficient home, which you repay with interest. The current energy-class-A tariff lists nominal interest from 5.35%. Its example gives effective interest from 5.55% for NOK 2 million over 25 years, with NOK 1,654,418 in borrowing costs and NOK 3,654,418 repaid in total. This is a pricing example, rather than a loan-size or term limit.
The current establishment fee starts at NOK 3,000 and is assessed by loan size and time spent, up to NOK 8,000. The instalment fee is NOK 60 when your account is debited. The table separately announces an establishment fee from NOK 3,500 and an instalment fee of NOK 70 from 8 December 2026; it says the new interest applies to existing customers from that date.
Your repayment instalments reduce the amount you owe; interest pays for borrowing. With equal-principal repayments, the principal instalment stays the same while interest falls as the balance decreases. With annuity repayments, the bank describes an equal monthly payment, initially mostly interest, with the principal share increasing as the balance falls.
Eligibility
- This entry covers buying a home with energy label A. The bank explains that class A homes have a heat pump or solar energy, together with better insulation and windows; passive houses receive A. You can find the energy label in the sales prospectus.
- You normally need at least 10% of the purchase financing from your own funds. The bank generally lends up to 90% of the purchase price and assesses your income, other debt and family circumstances to decide what you can repay.
- With additional security, financing can reach 100% of the purchase price. The bank describes this as security in another property, including support from someone guaranteeing payment if you cannot pay the mortgage.
