A home-secured mortgage for individuals buying or owning a qualifying energy-efficient home.

SpareBank 1 Helgeland lends money for an energy-efficient home, with the home as security. You repay the money with interest and fees over the agreed term, up to 30 years. In the bank’s annuity example, instalments pay interest and reduce the loan balance.
The product offers borrowing up to 85% of the purchase price. Its price list separately requires borrowing within 90% of the home’s collateral value; these percentages use different valuation bases.
The advertised nominal interest rate starts at 5.59%. The bank’s example for NOK 2 million over 25 years has an effective annual rate of 5.82%, including fees: NOK 5,000 to establish the loan, NOK 1,000 for document handling and NOK 65 per month. It shows NOK 1,742,200 in credit costs and NOK 3,742,200 repaid in total. The general establishment fee is at least NOK 5,000. These are the ordinary green-mortgage terms and example, rather than a guaranteed personal quote.
Extra repayments through online or mobile banking have no fee.
Eligibility
- The completed home must have energy rating A if built after 1 January 2021, or A or B if built before 2021. An energy certificate is required. The rating appears in the sales prospectus and advertisement.
- The quoted prices require you to receive your salary in the bank and use it for everyday banking.
- The home must secure the loan.
